Fermenting with Creativity: Kombucha
VIRTUAL WORKSHOP!
7:00 – 8:30pm EST, ON ZOOM

Have you met the mother? The one that turns sweet tea into a delicious, live-cultured fermented beverage? The one that has a gelatinous structure that can be turned into clothing and candy? Welcome to the exciting world of kombucha!

This virtual workshop explores all things kombucha and aims to showcase the creative possibilities that the fermented tea and SCOBY (symbiotic community of bacteria and yeast) have to offer! This workshop is great for both beginner and intermediate fermenters. Trevor Ring, fermentation educator and founder of Community Cultures, will present on this fun topic through show and tell, slideshow and demonstration. The session is recorded and will be distributed to all who sign up. Participants are encouraged to attend the live session to receive the most value of the workshop– you’re also encouraged to attain a kombucha mother (from a friend or anywhere online!) before the workshop.

Deliverables:

  • the curiosity and confidence to ferment kombucha using many flavors and ingredients
  • knowledge on turning kombucha mothers into candy and clothing
  • PDF handouts on the workshop’s topics
