Dive into the microbial world of food preservation. Learn about the world of fermentation through vegetables in this introductory, hands-on workshop! Participants will walk away with a jar of pickles to ferment at home and the confidence to safely ferment any vegetable with creativity and curiosity.

About the Presenter:
Trevor Ring is the owner of Community Cultures. He has taught for a decade, and worked for numerous agriculture, food, and fermentation businesses, and produces fermented products in Pittsburgh.

He is most excited about sharing his knowledge of fermentation and utilizing seasonal and regional ingredients to inspire his ferments.

This is a free event thanks to the Township of Pine’s Parks & Recreation department.
