Enter the vast world of fermentation in this hands-on introductory workshop at Pittsburgh Botanic Garden! Whether you want to learn a new skill in food preservation or simply want a good reason to get out of the house, this engaging class will leave you with new practical knowledge. Join us as Trevor Ring, fermentation educator and founder of Community Cultures, examines the cultural, historicaland nutritional significance of bacteria in food preservation. Participants will walk away with a jar of sauerkraut and salt-brined vegetables to ferment at home and share with family and friends.
