Join Trevor Ring, founder and fermentation educator of Community Cultures, at Two Frays Brewery to learn all about the world of miso! Attendees are invited to take part in an interactive workshop involving one of Japan’s most popular culinary staples, miso, and the backbone behind many of the region’s condiments, koji. Each ticket includes 1 jar of miso to ferment at home and 1 drink from Two Frays!
Miso is an umami-rich, fermented bean paste and is one of the most satisfying and interactive ferments to make. It requires patience, curiosity and trust of the microscopic world. This workshop will give you the essence, understanding, and confidence to make miso at home using traditional Japanese techniques. It will also plant the seed to explore more koji-based ferments on your own at home.
All ingredients used are gluten-free and vegan. Participants will also receive a code to buy organic koji with free shipping from Koji House.
