Welcome to the extraordinary world of fermented beverages! Join Trevor Ring, educator and founder of Community Cultures, to enter the fascinating world of kombucha and wild-fermented natural soda in this demo-based and hands-on fermentation workshop. Participants will sample products throughout this workshop and walk away with the following:
– a kombucha mother to start your first batch at home
– information about many types of fermented beverages, including water kefir (tibicos)
– a jar of soda to ferment at home (made with guidance during the workshop!)
– an understanding of how to use creativity and seasonal inspiration to ferment your beverages safely and with confidence
Note:
The products discussed and sampled in this workshop contain traces of alcohol (<0.5%), but are legally non-alcoholic.
All products in this workshop are gluten-free, nut-free, vegetarian, and vegan (some samples may contain honey)
This workshop will take place outside and will entail squeezing fruit (therefore potentially staining your clothing). Please dress accordingly.
